How to use: In Maps on mobile, choose a location and click Start navigation. Click on the blue arrow and then choose from 3 different cars. This setting will be saved until the next time you change it!
Keyboard Shortcut of the Week: Cntrl+Shift + (1,2, 3, 4 or 5) in Maps desktop: view different Map layers
Tip: You already know how to create a new line in Chat but what if you want to do the same in your Sheets cell? Pressing Enter simply enters the text into the cell!
How do you create new lines within the cell?
How to use: When your cursor is within the cell type Cmmd + Enter or Cntrl + Enter. From there a new line will be started within the same cell. That's it!
Keyboard Shortcut of the Week: Cmmd + Enter or Cntrl + Enter in Sheet cell: New line :)
Tip: If you've taken my Gmail for Productivity training, you know that I typically recommend labeling emails to indicate your next action. But stars can be a good option as well,* and stars can certainly be used to classify emails even further within your system. Maybe if you have your "To Do" folder you still want blue star to indicate something internal, whereas purple star indicates something external. Give your brain those color cues!
But how do you get multiple options for stars?
How to use: In Gmail go to Settings > See all settings > General tab. Scroll down to the stars section and drag any stars that you want to use up from "Not in use" up to "In use". That's it!
Keyboard Shortcut of the Week: S when you're in an email in Gmail: Star it (Tip: in the settings drag stars to the order you prefer so if you press the S key multiple times it will scroll through your "in use" stars, in the order you've put them in)
